This Privacy Policy explains how Gyanesh Anand (sole proprietor), trading as DGbot ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use DGbot (the "Service").

1. Data we collect

• Account data — name, email, organisation, and login credentials.
• Content data — documents and knowledge sources you upload, and chat conversations processed by the Service.
• Usage data — logs, device/browser info, and feature usage for security and product improvement.
• Billing data — handled by our payment provider Paddle; we do not store your full card details.

2. How we use data

To provide and operate the Service; process transactions; provide support; ensure security and prevent abuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Service.

3. Payment processing (Paddle)

Paid transactions are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes the payment and billing information necessary to complete your purchase and handle taxes, under its own privacy policy.

4. AI/LLM sub-processors

To generate responses, relevant content is sent to third-party large-language-model providers acting as sub-processors. We use providers under agreements intended to protect your data; content is sent only to fulfil your requests.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with sub-processors (e.g. hosting, payment, LLM providers) as needed to run the Service, or where required by law.

6. Data retention

We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can request deletion (see below).

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method is 100% secure.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than yours (including where our sub-processors operate), with appropriate safeguards.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be notified via the Service or email.
